On Monday, July 8th, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department arrested John Henry Kratz, 20, of Keyser WV. Kratz was arrested on an active Arrest Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court for an incident that occurred on June 1st. The warrant alleges On that date it is alleged that Kratz assaulted and robbed an individual at a Main St residence in Westernport MD. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held on $5,000 bond.

Charges: Robbery, Assault 2nd Degree, Theft less than $100.

Arrest Warrant Served
On Friday June 28th, 2024 officers of the Cumberland Police Department served an Arrest Warrant on James Moellenkamp. The Arrest Warrant was issued by the District Court when he failed to appear for his trial on March 3rd, 2021. Moellenkamp was later taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was released on
Arrest: James Edward Moellenkamp, age 48, Ridgley West Virginia.
Charge: Failure to Appear.
