On October 5, 2024, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department made contact with a subject reporting an assault. The alleged incident occurred near the George Washington Headquarters Park. Officers were advised that the victim was assaulted by Keiana Langan. The victim indicated that she was struck multiple times by Langan. She advised officers that she was able to break free from the assault and began to run. As the victim began to flee, she was caught by Langan who began to strangle her. A witness observed the assault and was able to intervene. Officers observed marks on the victim’s neck that were consistent with being strangled. Langan was located a short distance from the assault. Ms. Langan was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center. Langan was also served with an active Circuit Court Warrant.
Arrest: Keiana Langan, age 30, Cumberland Maryland.
Charges: Assault 1st degree, Assault 2nd degree and disorderly conduct .
Circuit Court Warrant for child support.
