As Marylanders continue to struggle with rising costs across the board- President Joe Biden this week signed into law the Inflation Reduction Act- and that drew applause from the state’s two Democratic Senators Chris Van Hollen and Ben Cardin. The Democratic-backed Inflation Reduction Act ultimately aims to address the economy investing $300 billion in deficit reduction. Most of the proposed $369 billion would be spent on the climate creating renewable energy tax credits. Cardin and Van Hollen predicted the bill’s impact will be felt fairly quickly in the state.
