Maryland’s sports wagering market had its fifth best single-month total in June, more than doubling its contribution to the state in tax revenue from last year.
Bettors wagered a combined $385 million dollars through retail outlets and mobile apps. Tax revenues from sports books go to the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Fund and June saw a deposit in that fund of over $5 million dollars. Winning prizes paid out in June totaled $345 million.
