Maryland added another 1,477 new coronavirus cases Thursday, as hospitalizations and the statewide positivity rate continue to rise steadily. The latest report also included 12 more deaths of Maryland residents.
The state’s total case count is 159,900, as of Thursday morning. The Maryland Department of Health's 7-day positivity rate is now at 5.65%, an increase of .05% from the day before.
Hospitalizations, which were just above 500 at the beginning of the month, continue to rise with 863 total hospitalized. Of those, 199 are in ICU beds and 664 are in acute care.
