Allegany County’s Animal Shelter on Furnace Street in Cumberland will be having their annual Presents for Paws Christmas event on Saturday, December 21 beginning at 11am.  The event invites the public to bring Christmas to the animals with donations of supplies, toys, blankets and pet food. Becky McClarran, who works with the shelter, tells WCBC people have the opportunity to interact with the animals and see improvements at the no-kill facility…

   

“People can come up, the kids can come up and we’ll have refreshments there for them. They can come and make donations, but they can also come and visit the animals and see what’s going on at the shelter.”
