On 12/31/2024 at 2:30 PM the Cumberland City Police were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of Andrew Street for a breaking and entering. Officers contacted the property owner and were advised the residence was vacant and no one should be inside. Officers contacted Jason Stottlemyer inside and observed several cut copper pipes. Stottlemyer was placed under arrest and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center for central booking. Stottlemyer received a bond hearing before a District Court Commissioner and was released on his personal recognizance.

Charge – Burglary 4th Degree, Trespassing, Theft $100 to less than $1,500.00
