Members of the Mountain Amateur Radio Club our participating in the 83 annual national amateur radio Field Day exercise at 599 Georges Creek Blvd, the old LaVale swimming pool. Field day exercise is a 24-hour competition, simulating emergency conditions as radio operators communicate around the country. The public is invited to come and experience the thrill of Amateur Radio until 2:00 p.m. Sunday. Visitors can talk on the air with other operators around the country and to see the services local volunteers provide to the community during times of emergency.
