The first of multiple demonstrations supporting President Donald Trump and his unproven claims of widespread election fraud began Tuesday in D.C. and will continue through Wednesday, when Congress is expected to affirm Joe Biden’s election victory. The rallies are expected to draw thousands, including the far-right extremist Proud Boys, whose leader was arrested Monday night after he arrived in Washington and is accused of burning a Black Lives Matter banner that was torn down from a historic Black church downtown last month.
