Active COVID-19 cases in the Mountain State have dropped by more than 16,000 in the past 30 days, according to data released on Tuesday by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources.
Governor Justice attributed the decrease to the state's vaccination efforts.
The DHHR said Tuesday more than 144,000 state residents have now been fully vaccinated.
As of Tuesday, active cases stood at 10,969, the lowest since Nov. 16, 2020. Active cases were at 27,254 a month ago.
There were no "red" counties on the state’s COVID-19 daily alert map Tuesday, for a third straight day.
