The Allegany County Board of Education has announced the hiring of a new Supervisor of Transportation.  With more, here’s WCBC’s Tony Orndoff…

 Michael Mathews has been appointed as the new Supervisor of Transportation for Allegany County Public Schools, according to a statement released by the Board of Education on Wednesday.  Mathews assumed the role effective June 1. 

He has been a county school bus drive since 2003 and served as the Assistant Supervisor of Transportation since 2019.  Mathews is also a state-certified driver instructor for both classroom and behind the wheel instruction.
