On Monday, June 12th, 2023, The Cumberland City Police arrested Allen Ricardo Jones Jr, 29, of Baltimore MD. Jones was arrested on an active Arrest Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court for an incident that occurred on June 10th. During that incident, officers responded to UPMC to speak with an assault victim. The victim alleged to have been assaulted the day before, which had led to them seeking medical attention. The victim advised that Jones then came to the facility and made threats to staff and the victim. Jones then forced the victim to cease further medical attention, and threatened more harm to them if they did not comply. Being in fear, the victim complied with Jones and left the facility at that time. The victim was later able to get away from Jones and contact an ambulance. The victim was then able to get proper medical attention and contact the police. As a result, an application of charges was filed on Jones and an Arrest Warrant issued. Once placed under arrest, Jones was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond.
