911 Phone Lines for Cumberland and Allegany County have been restored.

Update from the Allegany County Department of Emergency Services:
911 phone lines have been transferred to Garrett County. Fire and EMS personnel have been released from manning phone calls at their departments. Administrative lines are still directly affected and are not routed to another location, only 911 lines are equipped to be transferred. The issue is still being worked on.
In case of an emergency, please call 911 again to be directed accordingly. All fire, EMS, and police calls will be handled and directed accordingly for the City of Cumberland and Allegany County.

The Allegany County Emergency Operations Center is experiencing issues with phone lines at this time. If you are having an emergency within the City Limits of Cumberland, please dial any of the following numbers: 301-759-6496 301-759-6481, 301-759-6487, 301-759-6488, and/or 301-759-6496 to reach assistance. The phone service provider is currently addressing the problems and a follow-up release will be forthcoming once repairs are made.
