Several community events are available to celebrate your Independence Day.
Cumberland Historic Cemetery Organization will hold a special two-part service beginning at 10 a.m. to honor the area’s Revolutionary War soldiers at CHCO headquarters on South Allegany Street.
Let’s Beautify Cumberland Celebrates the 4th of July on Historic Washington Street from 6 to 10 p.m. with music by Surrender Dorothy & DJ, Mark Stevens spinning some patriotic music. A Cumberland clock booth will be set up by volunteers of Let's Beautify Cumberland to answer questions and see a rendering of the new clock. Individuals who make a donation of $5 or more will receive a pin or magnet with the Cumberland clock logo.
Potomac Concert Band performs on the stage at Canal Place festival grounds from 8:30 till 10:30 p.m.
The City of Cumberland’s annual fireworks display begins around 9:30 p.m. from Constitution Park. The pool is closing at 3 p.m. however, the park will remain open for the public to view the fireworks.
