Mountain Maryland Trails will host the 7th annual 3M Challenge on the Great Allegheny Passage September 14th. Cyclists challenge the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad train individually or in teams of up to six as it climbs from Cumberland to Frostburg. Funds raised support projects on the Maryland portion of the GAP trail. The deadline to sign up is September 1. "Somebody that's comfortable riding a bicycle from Cumberland to Frostburg in about an hour which is how long the train takes. We've had riders from their middle teens up to their 70's."
