3 arrested in Columbia Street disturbance

On Tuesday, August 13th, 2024, at approximately 4:31 am the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 300 Block of Columbia Street for the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers encountered a large group of individuals in the area creating the disturbance. As Officers were completing the investigation, Haily Moon was observed damaging a vehicle. Officers attempted to place Moon under arrest but were then obstructed and assaulted by Tavon Gray. After a brief struggle, Officers were able to place Gray and Moon under arrest. During this time, an additional female, Dakota Wolfe, was further acting in a disorderly manner. After failing to obey order from Officers to stop creating a disturbance, Wolfe was placed under arrest. Moon was taken before a District Court Commissioner where she was released on her own recognizance pending her trial at District Court. Gray was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on a $1,000 bond. Wolfe was issued criminal citations and released pending her trial at the Allegany County District Court.

Charges: Disorderly Conduct, Fail to Obey
 
Arrest: Tavon Torrell Gray, age 19, Cumberland, Maryland
Charges: Obstructing and Hindering, Resisting Arrest, Assault on Police (x2), Disorderly Conduct

Arrest: Haily Marie Moon, age 19, Cumberland, Maryland
Charges: Malicious Destruction of Property, Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing and Hindering, Resisting Arrest, Fail to Obey
