The 45th annual Mountain Maryland PACE Legislative Reception and Breakfast scheduled for January 21-22, 2022 in Annapolis, Maryland is being postponed to March 3-4, 2022 due to
the surge in COVID-19 cases statewide. The Mountain Maryland PACE Committee had been planning the event since COVID-19 forced its cancellation in 2021. As COVID cases began to increase around the holidays, the committee had been carefully evaluating its ability to safely host the annual event that attracts legislators as well as state and
federal funding partners. “With Governor Hogan’s State of Emergency declaration yesterday and various
restrictions being put in place to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, it became clear that the
committee could not proceed with the event in January as planned,” says PACE Co-Chair, Jeremy Irons.
Working with the host hotel, the Committee was fortunate to quickly secure another date for PACE.
“March marks the mid-point of the legislative session when important funding decisions are being made.
This coupled with the Gubernatorial election this November makes it an ideal time to promote Allegany
and Garrett Counties by highlighting our assets and talking about our needs,” says PACE Co-Chair, Shawn
	Bender.
Tickets purchased for the January event will carry forward to March 3-4, 2022. Hotel reservations made
using the PACE group booking code will be automatically canceled, and will need rebooted for the March
dates. Additional information, including a new hotel booking link and instructions to request a refund,
will be provided to ticket holders and sponsors via email in the coming days. Additional information will
be shared on the official PACE website www.mtmarylandpace.com and Facebook page
https://www.facebook.com/Mtmdpace/ . Emails can be sent to info@mtmarylandpace.com.
