The mass shooting at a Frostburg house party that killed one and wounded four on May 7th was carried out by six young men, four of them current Frostburg State students according to arrest warrants.
Benjamin Atyam 21-year-old Frostburg State student was taken into custody on May 16th during final exams. He has been charged with multiple felonies in the shooting, including first-degree murder. Atyam acted with five other individuals to commit the murder citing an ongoing feud as the motive.
Javon Epifanio a 22-year-old former Frostburg State University student is the second person charged with first-degree murder in the May 7 mass shooting. Javon was already on probation for firing a gun across the same Frostburg street in April 2022 according to court records. Both men are being held without bond.
