West Virginia’s Women, Infants, and Children’s Nutrition Program is aligning with Governor Patrick Morrisey’s vision of cleaning up what families eat in the state. The Farmers Market Nutrition Program cross references WIC users’ home zip code with market locations, making it easier for families to redeem benefits. In 2024, more than $750,000 in farmers markets benefits were redeemed, a direct result of increasing the scope of WIC programs.
