After working with several railroad chief mechanical officers in Maine, Wes Heinz, the executive director of the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, told WCBC the long awaited pistons are in their possession…
“We’ve had three CMOs from railroads that I used to be familiar with up in Portland, Maine, Wiscasset, Maine, and Ellsworth, Maine, and we all kind of got together and got the new pistons designed and ready to go. Our shop foreman and our CMO are over at the shop right now getting dirty and getting those ready to go back into the engine.”
