National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for portions of western Maryland, northwest Virginia, and eastern West Virginia. WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TUESDAY TO 7 AM WEDNESDAY… Mixed precipitation expected with total snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze.Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes. Snow will overspread the area Tuesday morning with the steadiest snow expected Tuesday afternoon and evening. Snowfall rates around one half inch per hour and visibility less than one mile are possible Tuesday afternoon and evening. A light wintry mix is expected Wednesday morning through midday, and may persist through Wednesday evening. Slow down and use caution while traveling.
