On Saturday, April 26, 2025, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the area of West Industrial Boulevard for the report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival at the scene, Officers learned that a male, who was later identified as Jacob Lindsey, was walking down the center of the roadway. Witnesses advised that the first vehicle struck Lindsey and was then subsequently rear-ended by another vehicle. Lindey was issued a criminal citation for disturbing the public peace by hindering passage, as well as traffic-related citations, and released to a local medical center for treatment of his injuries.
Arrest: Jacob David Lindsey, Age 23, Cumberland, Maryland.
Charges: Disturb the Peace Hinder Passage, Pedestrian walking on roadway when sidewalk is provided, Pedestrian failure to yield right away to approaching vehicle when not in crosswalk.
