On Sunday, April 27, 2025, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 100 Block of Washington Street for the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers were able to observe the active disturbance inside the residence. Through the investigation, it was learned that an assault had occurred. As a result, Matthew O'Reilly was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he was released on an unsecured $5,000 bond pending his trial. 

Arrest: Matthew Ryan O'Reilly, Age 32, Cumberland, Maryland.
Charge: Assault Second Degree.
