On Wednesday, October 16th, 2024, an Officer with the Cumberland Police Department observed a vehicle in the area of Wallace Street commit a traffic violation. The Officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle however the individual attempted to flee the area. Through the investigation, it was learned the operator exited the vehicle and attempted to leave the area. He was located in the area of Schley Street where he was identified as Hyman Haskins Jr. Haskins was placed under arrest and taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was released on his own recognizance pending his trial.
Arrest: Hyman Antonio Haskins Jr., age 33, Cumberland, Maryland.
Charges: Disorderly Conduct, Obstruction and Hindering, and numerous traffic violations, including fleeing and eluding.
