On Monday, October 7, 2024 at approximately 1:05 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue for a shoplifting complaint. Officers contacted the staff who reported that the suspects stole merchandise from the store. The suspects were contacted and identified as Angela Dennison and Brian Mitchell. After further investigation, Dennison and Mitchell were placed under arrest. They were issued criminal citations and released pending trial.
