On January 21, 2025, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 600 Block of Greene Street for the report of an assault. While conducting the investigation, Brandon Paige obstructed and hindered officers. An application for charges was submitted to the Allegany County Commissioner’s office which yielded a criminal summons. Paige was served with the summons and released pending his trial at District Court.

Arrest: Brandon Martese Paige, age 42, Cumberland, Maryland.
Charge: Obstructing and Hindering.

Summons Served: On January 16, 2025, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a Medical Facility in the City for the report of a child abuse case. Through the investigation, it was learned that a juvenile ingested a controlled dangerous substance and was observed with side effects of the drug. As a result of the investigation, an application for charges was submitted to the Allegany County Commissioner’s office which yielded a criminal summons. Amber Casey was served with the summons and released pending her trial at District Court.

Arrest: Amber Nichole Casey, age 34, Cumberland, Maryland.
Charge: Neglect of a Minor.

Summons Served: On January 1, 2025, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business in the 400 Block of Virginia Avenue for the report of a theft. Upon arrival, Officers observed a female take several items from the store without paying. Officers obtained the identity of the suspect who was identified as Shartees Curtis. An application for charges was submitted to the Allegany County Commissioner’s office which yielded a criminal summons. Curtis was served with the summons and released pending her trial at District Court.

Arrest: Shartees Shavon Curtis, age 34, Cumberland, Maryland.
Charge: Theft Less Than $100.
