November 21st, 2024 by WCBC Radio

Maryland’s former Democratic Governor Martin O’Malley has resigned from the position he has held less than a year as the head of the Social Security Administration. O’Malley was enthusiastically endorsed for that job by Maryland House and Senate members and was appointed last December.  He is leaving the SSA for a run at heading the Democratic National Committee. Current DNC chair Jamie Harrison of South Carolina has announced he will not seek another term.
