A gathering of artists was present for an informal question and answer session with Ryan Patterson, Program Director for Public Art from the Maryland State Arts Council. The meeting took place at the Gallery Stage on North Centre Street with 14 in attendance. “Lawmakers and the Governor kept our state’s funding mandate that asks that the state arts council budget follows the ups and downs of inflation over time – it’s called the funding mandate and that was preserved. We have not had any negative impacted funding to the state arts council.”
