Marshall Street hit-and-run Arrest

On Friday, April 25, 2025, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the area of Marshall Street for the report of a hit-and-run investigation. Upon arrival, Officers observed the damage to the victim's vehicle and were provided with a description of the suspect vehicle. Later that day, Officers located the vehicle in the area of Patterson Avenue. The vehicle was operated by Misty McDonald. Once the investigation was completed, it was determined that McDonald was the operator of the vehicle at the time of the hit-and-run. An application for charges was completed, which yielded a criminal summons.  On April 27, 2025, Officers located McDonald, where she was served with the summons and released pending her trial at the District Court. 

Arrest: Misty Jean McDonald, Age 49, Cumberland, Maryland.
Charges: Failure to stop after unattended vehicle damage, Failure in accident to locate and notify owner, Failure to provide required identification, Failure to provide insurance information, Operating unregistered motor vehicle, Failure to display registration card.
