Job losses are hitting the truck manufacturing industry. Heavy duty truck orders have been negatively affected by market uncertainty regarding tariffs, resulting in dozens of employees being laid off at Mack Truck in Hagerstown. A Pennsylvania plant is also affected, according to Nolan Beelsteen of Manufacturing News…

  

“The medium and heavy duty truck manufacturer’s job cuts will take place at the Lehigh Valley operations center and the power train development and production plant in Hagerstown Maryland. Mack Trucks expects the layoffs to impact 250-350 workers at the Pennsylvania site and 50 to 100 employees at the Maryland location between now and May 2.”
