Fraud to Avoid Prosecution

On Monday June 17th, 2024, an officer of the Cumberland Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Frederick Street and Centre Street. Officers spoke with the sole occupant, the operator, and observed an open container of an alcoholic beverage inside the vehicle. Officers continued their investigation and learned that the operator had provided a fictitious name in an attempt to avoid prosecution. The operator was identified as Keshaun Ayodele Dada, and he was subsequently placed under arrest and awaits his trial before a District Court Commissioner.
 
Arrest: Keshaun Ayodele Dada, age 21, Cumberland Maryland.
Charges: Obstructing and Hindering, Fraud to Avoid Prosecution, Driving Without a License, Consuming an Alcoholic Beverage While Operating a Motor Vehicle.
