On Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at approximately 10:29 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 1500 block of E. Oldtown Rd. for the report of a vehicle striking multiple parked vehicles and attempting to leave.  Police arrived and contacted the operator who was later identified as Dawn Fishel.  Officers observed that Fishel had struck two other vehicles with her vehicle.  Fishel was uncooperative with officers and refused to get out of her car after being requested to do so by police.  Fishel then assaulted one of the officers as he attempted to remove her from the car.  Fishel was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters.  After further investigation, it was determined that Fishel had been driving under the influence of alcohol.  She was transported to Central Booking where she is currently being held pending her appearance before the court.
