City Police K-9 Team Graduates

The Cumberland City Police Department is proud to announce the graduation of K9 Handler Pfc. Andrea Gibbner and her K9 partner, Tina, from an intensive 4-week K9 training school. The team has successfully completed their certification in Drug Detection, Tracking, and Article Searching through the National Association of Professional Working Dog Trainers (NAPWAD).

Throughout this four-week program, the K9 team underwent extensive training to hone their skills in vital areas of law enforcement support. These skills include detecting illegal substances, tracking suspects, and locating crucial evidence, ensuring that Pfc. Gibbner and K9 Tina are now equipped to serve the City of Cumberland with the highest level of proficiency.

NAPWAD, a respected authority in K9 training, is known for setting high standards in the certification of working dogs and their handlers. This accomplishment reflects the team’s commitment to maintaining excellence and readiness in the field.
