Most Maryland counties posted worse results for both ozone smog and fine particle pollution than last year’s findings – this from the latest “State of the Air” report from the American Lung Association. Smoke from large wildfires in Canada contributed to the poorer air quality. The state is ranked second-worst in the Mid-Atlantic for ozone smog.
