The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Raymond M. Morriss of Cumberland, Maryland for proclaiming September “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In Maryland, public-use airports support more than $867 million in business-generated revenue.

 

“Mayor Morriss’ proclamation helps highlight the economic benefits and valuable service that general aviation provides to the City of Cumberland and the State of Maryland,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank the Mayor and the City of Cumberland for recognizing this vital industry.”
