The Cumberland Times News reports the death of a 26-year-old Frostburg State University student remains under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police after the man’s body was found in nearby Somerset County. No foul play is suspected in the death of 26-year-old Joseph Hekimian of Germantown, according to state police at Somerset.
Hekimian was pronounced dead at the scene by Somerset County Coroner Wallace Miller.
Police said Hekimian’s body was found in an open area 40 feet from Pullin Hollow Road off Addison Road in Addison Township at about 6:20 p.m. Tuesday.
The victim’s vehicle was found about 300 yards south of the location where the body was found.
Police said the victim was positively identified by his fingerprints.
“The death is not considered suspicious. However, the investigation is ongoing, pending toxicology results,” said a police spokesman at Somerset.
Frostburg Police said Hekimian resided on Park Street and was reported missing Tuesday by his family, just hours before his body was found.
He was enrolled as an engineering student at university, according to school officials.
