11 AM UPDATE:
Emergency vehicles have cleared the scene and State Highway peersonnel are tending to the remaining traffic issues and cleanup.
INITIAL REPORT:
Cumberland Police and Fire units are on the scene of a working tractor trailer fire on eastbound Industrial Boulevard near Lab Corp and Queen City Drive.
Traffic in the area of the fire has been blocked. In addition, Exit 43 B on Interstate 68 has been closed to all traffic.
Motorist are requested to avoid the area, clean up is expected to take several hours.
Allegany County issued the alert at 6:20 AM. The below photo is a screen capture from the Maryland Department of Transportation Traffic Cam located on the Allegany County 911 Tower.
